Why is it called a mommy makeover?  It’s a term that is used for a customized combination of body contouring cosmetic procedures, non-surgical treatments, or both, that are designed to correct or modify the effects pregnancy and breastfeeding have had on a woman’s face, breasts, and body. Pregnancy can leave long-lasting effects on a woman’s body such as sagging breasts, stretched abdominal muscles, and loose, excess skin. Even with a healthy diet and exercise, some women find it difficult to return to their pre-pregnancy shape.  A mommy makeover can help by restoring your appearance, improving your comfort level, and helping you reach your goals.

There are several procedures that may be included in a mommy makeover. They include:

Surgical:

Non-surgical:

If you are considering a mommy makeover, deciding when the time is right for the procedure can be made during a consultation with Charlotte board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Haque. There are certain conditions that you may need to meet before undergoing a mommy makeover, including:

  • You should be in good medical health
  • You should be close to your ideal body weight
  • You should be finished with childbearing
  • You should be finished with breastfeeding so that your breasts can return to their natural shape

After a mommy makeover, results may not be noticed until several months after your procedure because your body will need time to heal. Over the course of time, your breast implants will settle and any scar lines will eventually fade.

The fee for a mommy makeover will vary based on the procedures performed. Dr. Haque will meet with you to identify what your goals are and help you customize a mommy makeover that will help you get the results you desire.  Queen City Plastic Surgery offers several types of patient financing plans, so please contact us for more information.
