It’s normal to experience some degree of anxiety before undergoing any new cosmetic treatment. That anxiety can be alleviated if you just have some simple information about what to expect, such as required downtime. Let’s take a look at the FaceTite treatment, what is involved, and whether you can expect any downtime.
FaceTite is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that helps to melt fat and tighten skin, leading to a slimmer and more youthful appearance. It is sometimes combined with microneedling to improve results. People in Charlotte who are noticing that their jawline isn’t strong as it used to be, a double chin, or facial sagging might find that FaceTite is right for them.
The procedure involves using a specialized device containing a probe that Dr. Haque will insert under your skin through a tiny hole, which minimizes scarring. A local anesthetic will be used to ensure your comfort and relaxation during your FaceTite treatment.
An external probe will attract the heat that the internal probe creates. This thermal energy will melt fat away and tighten the skin, stimulating the production of new collagen in your skin. The FaceTite treatment only takes about 45 minutes in most cases. This can be done in one in-office treatment
Although FaceTite is appropriate for many people, it is not for everyone. FaceTite can be appropriate for those who need some help with mild-to-moderate skin laxity or small pockets of fat. Those with more significant skin sagging may find that a surgical procedure is a better choice.
Dr. Haque was the first to bring FaceTite to Charlotte! Below are some frequently asked questions about the FaceTite procedure. :
Most FaceTite patients began noticing some slimming and tightening within about a week after their treatment, with gradual improvement for up to six months. Because there is initial swelling and you will be wearing a compression garment, do not be alarmed if the results are not immediately apparent.
You’ll need to wear a compression garment to minimize post-procedure swelling. You need to wear it around the clock for at least three days, then nightly for about two weeks.
Maintaining a consistent weight and healthy habits will help maintain the results! Keep in mind that the aging process will continue as usual so maintaining a good diet, exercise, and skincare program will help. To maintain your results for as long as possible, drink plenty of fluids, minimize sun exposure (and use sunscreen!), eat a healthy diet, maintain your weight, and avoid smoking.
FaceTite is a minimally invasive treatment requiring no general anesthesia or lengthy recovery period. You will still need to arrange for someone to drive you home after your procedure.
It is normal to experience some swelling, bruising, soreness, and itchiness in the treatment area. This should dramatically improve within the first week after your treatment. You will likely have uneven skin texture for a couple of weeks due to treated skin contracting and adjusting while it is healing and remodeling. Dr. Haque will explain your recovery to you during your consultation.
Most FaceTite patients can resume normal activities within 48 hours after their treatment. They can typically return to work within five days. The incisions normally leave minimal scars.
