MARCH 18, 2020 UPDATE:

To our valued Queen City Plastic Surgery patients,

You may have seen reports that local healthcare facilities are coordinating efforts to protect our community from coronavirus. This includes new guidance to reschedule all surgeries that are not immediately essential in order to minimize risk and ensure that there are enough resources for those impacted by coronavirus. Dr. Haque and the Queen City Plastic Surgery team are reviewing all surgeries that are scheduled through April and will be contacting you individually with updates. If your procedure must be rescheduled in accordance with guidelines, we apologize for the inconvenience. Once this public health emergency passes and surgical facilities are back to full capacity, we will work with you to reschedule.

The Queen City Plastic Surgery office will remain open on a reduced schedule to accommodate patients who need to be seen in a time-sensitive manner. In-office procedures will occur on an as-needed basis. We will be offering telehealth consultations as appropriate to minimize patient exposure. If you are scheduled with us over the next two weeks, we will reach out to you to develop a plan based on your particular needs.

The situation is changing rapidly and we will continue to comply with guidelines and keep you updated as things evolve. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time and please stay safe!

MARCH 16, 2020

To Our Valued Patients,

Dr. Haque and the Queen City Plastic Surgery team understand this is an unsettling and ever-changing time. As the news unfolds surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we extend our sympathy and prayers to those individuals, families and communities who have been impacted.

The health and safety of our patients, staff and community is our top priority and we continue to monitor the situation, work closely with Charlotte hospital systems, and make decisions based on the guidelines set forth by the government and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

WE WILL REMAIN OPEN

Our staff will be screening for potentially infected patients. If you have had questionable exposure or are sick, please call our office at 704-372-5675 so we can discuss rescheduling.

WE ARE WAIVING CANCELLATION FEES

Normally we have a cancellation policy which includes notification within a timely manner and a fee if no notification within that specified timeframe. We are waiving the cancellation fee through April 12, 2020. This will allow our patients to feel in control of their decision to postpone their office appointment based on exposure or illness.

UPCOMING SURGERIES ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE

For now, all scheduled surgeries will proceed as planned. The surgical facilities we use have worked hard to ensure a safe environment for all who enter. Hospital administrations have assured us they are prepared for all elective surgery.  If this changes, our office will reach out to you as soon as possible and discuss postponement.

LIMIT FAMILY AND FRIENDS

The older population and people of any age with severe underlying health conditions are at a high risk of developing serious illness with COVID-19. Because a significant percentage of our patient population falls into high risk categories, please come to your appointment alone or with just one family member or friend.

WE ALL MUST DO OUR PART

We all have an important role in preventing the spread of disease. If you are sick, call our office to reschedule. If you have allergies or are ill, please cough and sneeze in the fold of your arm or in a tissue and throw the tissue away immediately.  No matter how you feel, make sure to practice good hand hygiene by washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or using alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60-95% alcohol.

We will be continuing to perform thorough routine environmental cleaning to help disinfect our office areas. In addition, we are adjusting our staffing to minimize the number of team members in the office at a given time.  We have instructed them to stay home if they are feeling ill. While this may result in a slightly longer wait time, these precautions can help minimize risk for our patients and the community.

Because the situation is changing rapidly, the guidelines established by government agencies are in flux. This means there may be temporary changes that can happen with little or no warning. Should changes be necessary, we will be contacting patients who are impacted as soon as possible.
